TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT... ...TYPHOON WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT
* WHAT...For the Tropical Storm Warning, north winds 40 to 50 kt
with gusts to 65 kt and shifting to the northwest and then
west. Seas 15 to 25 feet. For the Typhoon Watch, typhoon
conditions possible.
* WHERE...Guam Coastal Waters.
* WHEN...Through at least Wednesday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tropical storm winds are or will shortly
occur tonight. The past few forecasts have shifted the track
northward, so strongest winds will likely be around Tinian and
Saipan, reducing the risk for typhoon conditions.
A tropical storm warning means sustained winds of 34 to 63 kt or
39 to 73 mph are expected.
